The Mitchell PTO helps make that happen by funding enriching, inclusive, and joyful experiences for students, families, and teachers all year long.
How We Support Mitchell in 2026-2027
Field Trips for Every Grade We guarantee field trip funding for all students, from Young 5s through 5th grade, so every child can participate in hands-on learning outside the classroom without asking parents for a fee. $9,725 annually
Teacher & Staff Grants Every single classroom teacher receives funds to create creative, engaging learning experiences. We also provide dedicated funding to our amazing Art, Music, and PE teachers, as well as our vital resource room and social work teams. $14,500 annually
Community-Building Events We host Welcome Back Popsicles, International Night, Family Movie Nights, and our annual Ice Cream Social to bring families together and joyfully celebrate our diverse community. $6,950 annually
5th Grade Camp & Graduation We fully fund the 5th-grade overnight science camp and graduation celebrations so every student gets to participate and be celebrated, regardless of family finances. $9,000 annually
Teacher & Staff Appreciation We show our love and deep gratitude to the Mitchell staff through catered meals, coffee carts, and celebrations throughout the entire year. $6,500 annually
STEM Opportunities We support Science Olympiad and PLTW robotics entry fees and materials, giving our students the chance to learn, compete, and grow. $750 annually
Arts & Music Enrichment We provide items like recorders for all 4th-grade students to ensure they have exactly what they need to enhance their arts education. $400 annually
Martha’s Closet & Laundry Facilities We stock our discreet, on-site resource hub with emergency winter gear, clothing, and hygiene items, and operate a free, in-school laundry facility so every student feels comfortable, confident, and cared for. $1,500 annually
