Mitchell PTO Mission
The mission of the PTO is to foster close relationships between the home and the school and provide volunteer and financial support for parents and teachers to work cooperatively in the development and education of children at Mitchell Elementary School. We welcome and embrace Mitchell families and promote inclusive membership regardless of race, sex, class, sexual orientation, age, socioeconomic status, religion, or ability. Mitchell PTO strives to promote participation in broader educational programs in our community.
Our goals are:
- To bring together home and the school communities so that parents and teachers, school administrators, and the broader Mitchell community may cooperate mutually in the education of our children.
- To provide those resources to Mitchell Elementary that are not provided or not provided sufficiently for in the school budget and are deemed necessary or desirable by the staff for the support and education of students.
- To lend our energy, talent and time to improve the quality of education and the Mitchell community environment.
- To support teachers to ensure the highest physical, mental and social education while promoting open and transparent communication between students, staff, and parents.
- To promote a sense of school pride and belonging through fostering and enhancing the educational environment for all students and families.
